Our history began in 1889, with the birth of São Paulo Tramway, Light and Power Company Limited, the largest utility company in Latin America.
In 1901, the company inaugurated the Parnaíba Hydroelectric Plant – the largest in Latin America, ensuring the expansion of lighting and tram services in São Paulo. And seven years later, through the Rio de Janeiro Tramway, Light and Power, it opened the Usina de Fontes – at the time, the largest hydroelectric plant in Brazil.
In 1916, it assumed a new identity and prestige: Companhia Telephônica Brasileira (CTB). In 1931, it was part of the unveiling of the largest postcard in Brazil: Christ the Redeemer. Companhia was present in all phases of the project, ensuring lighting and rail access to the monument for decades.
In 1958, the group changed its name to Brascan Organização e Investimento LTDA. Since that decade, the company has developed a strong presence in the real estate market with high quality horizontal developments.

That same year, it was elected by Euromoney as the best residential developer in Latin America. A recognition that was repeated in 2015, among many other important awards.
In 2017, we changed our name to Tegra, which comes with integrity and integration, and we continue our strong presence in São Paulo, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, and Niterói, with a focus on medium and high standard construction.
